This itinerary takes you through the vibrant energy of India’s cities with the rural attraction of its villages and the wildlife attractions of Bandhavgarh & Panna National Park. Begin with two nights in Delhi to explore the city and its highlights and then make your way to Bandhavgarh National Park where you will be tracking the Indian wildlife and continue to Panna one of the most attractive jungles for two nights stay. Visit the temples of Khajuraho before continuing to Varanasi -one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the most important pilgrimage place in India. You will visit Sarnath, the site of Buddha’s Sermon (teachings), enjoy evening aarti ceremony from Holy Ganges. Next morning enjoy sunrise boat ride along the Ganges River and walking tour of the ghats and old City. Fly to Agra (flight operates only 3 days of week) and witness the magnificent – Taj Mahal and Agra Fort then head towards Jaipur – The “Pink city” of India where you will enjoy the visit to Amber Fort, City Palace and photo stop at Hawa Mahal.
DAY 1: ARRIVE IN DELHI AND EXPLORE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF DELHI
You will be met upon arrival in Delhi and chauffeured you to the Imperial Hotel.
DAY 2: EXPLORE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF DELHI
A private guided tour of Old and New Delhi will ensure that you absorb the vibrant history of the city. The highlights – Chandhi Chowk, Jama Masjid (the largest Mosque in India), drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan (The President House), India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, if time permits visit the Lotus Temple
DAY 3: FLY TO JABALPUR AND DRIVE TO BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK
After exploring the history of Delhi, you’ll fly to Jabalpur, drive four hours to reach Taj Safaris Lodge- Mahua Kothi Bandhavgarh. This park is famous for one of India’s highest concentrations of this magnificent wildlife.
DAY 4 & 5: EXPLORE BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK
Explore the jungles of Bandhavgarh National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives in an open safari vehicle with expert Naturalist.
DAY 7: DRIVE TO PANNA NATIONAL PARK
In morning drive to Panna National park for 4 ½ hours’ drive and stay for two nights at Taj Safari Lodge Pashan Garh Panna.
DAY 8: EXPLORE PANNA NATIONAL PARK
Explore the jungles of Panna National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives in an open safari vehicle with expert Naturalist.
DAY: 9: EXPLORE THE TEMPLES OF KHAJURAHO BEFORE FLYING TO VARANASI
Drive to Khajuraho and explore the Western Group of Temples (The temples are a combination of Jain and Hindu temples and has most intricate carvings in India) before you board your flight to Varanasi – a city which is situated around the holy river Ganges. Stay for one night at Taj Nadesar Palace. In evening enjoy a private boat ride along the river Ganges where you will witness the evening Aarti ceremony.
DAY 10: ENJOY THE HIGHLIGHTS OF VARANASI AND FLY TO AGRA
Enjoy early morning boat ride and witness the sunrise and the contrasts of life on the holy river. Along the boat-ride you’ll see pilgrims and locals holy dip and praying. Later walk through the narrow lanes of old city. Fly to Agra (the flight operates 3 days of week) On arrival, you will meet your local guide and chauffeured to Oberoi Amarvilas. Enjoy the sunset visit to impressive Taj Mahal.
DAY 11: EXPLORE AGRA AND DRIVE TO JAIPUR ENROUTE VISITING FATEHPUR SIKRI
This morning you’ll be met by your guide to explore Agra’s Red Fort. Later you’ll continue to Jaipur, en-route, you’ll stop in Fatehpur Sikri for a guided tour. Upon arriving into Jaipur later this afternoon, you will be checking in at Oberoi Rajvilas.
DAY 12: EXPLORE JAIPUR
This morning you’ll explore the splendid Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and photo stop at Hawa Mahal.
If time permits, continue with a stroll through Badi Chaupur – one of the busiest spots in Jaipur.
DAY 12: DRIVE TO DELHI AND BOARD YOUR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT HOME
Our chauffeur will drive you directly to Delhi’s international airport where you’ll connect with your international flight home or onward to your next adventure.
